Well here we are! Wooohoo!

This week we are going to reflect on the whole :)

The only thing that stands between a man/woman and what they want from life is often merely the will to try it and the faith to believe that it is possible.

  • Review the changes you made in your lifestyle in the past 8 weeks, reflect on the ones you would like to make permanent. Create a plan that works for you that you can stick to.

  • Think about the dietary changes you made, how do you feel? Do the changes reflect your lifestyle and can you continue these changes to create a healthy life. Did you research a plan that works for you and your core values? If so great! You are empowered! I encourage you to create a healthy way of eating and not a diet, your body needs healthy fuel to survive and it is used to eating if you deplete your calories to much you will wreak havoc on your metabolism, keep it balanced with healthy foods and exercise! More on this topic in future blogs. Go organic as much as possible :)
  • Add your healhy fats to your diet

  • How are you moving more? What challenges have you taken on? Did you create choices that reflect your lifestyle and personal fitness needs? Can you continue your fitness journey? Keep it changing, the healthier you become from your fitness, the better you and your body will feel when you change your fitness routine at least every 12weeks, that is why I share with you to try something new when you are inspired to do so! Take on challenges constantly, it is great for the body and mind! I will keep you posted.

  • Have you found a way to just breathe? Perhaps you are going to a meditation class or just learning to stop and recognize your breathe :) Remember this will assist with stressful thinking.

  • How have you been showing your gratitude or appreciation? The key is to see the reason why you are grateful so you can resonate with the positive feeling. Example: “I’m grateful for my home because it provides me warmth, security and a place where my family can get together, I then develop the feeling of my ideal home, and this moves us forward in our thinking. If you say “I’m grateful for my home” you may bring up the past homes or dwellings that you were not grateful for and that feeling will resonate with you and will have a counter effect on your gratitude to attract more. Simple :) You can also use the word appreciate…” I appreciate my home because of the warmth, security and wonderful property it provides for my family :) It then becomes a feeling that resonates with a satisfaction.

  • Believe in yourself! Take time to love yourself and remind yourself that you are worthy :) Believe it to be true, to give and receive love we must first love and respect ourselves always practice this :)

  •  Shift those self defeating thoughts! Remember they are not wrong or bad they are just thoughts or weeds, take away blame shame and guilt. Re-frame your thoughts and practice.

  • Forgive! Forgive your past and forgive yourself and say sorry when you need to, your heart will thank-you :)

  • How are you adding FUN!? Keep doing it, keep creating your relationships. Relationships die because we STOP creating, we get comfortable! Are you enjoying a new hobby or taking time for some good music, art or reading? How does fun look to you now? Do what you Love!

  • Be accountable, Be responsible, Be Peaceful, Be Powerful, Be forgiving and forgivable, Be grateful, Be trustworthy (honour your word), Be health!

  • I would like to thank-you for taking the time to create your journey with me :) I wish you much success in all your choices and endeavours. Remember these are my thoughts and my gift to you, a nudge a way to inspire your own mind. Create a life worth living because it resonates with your core values, No one can take away your belief system unless you choose (powerfully). Always move in inspired action because that is what makes you HAPPY! Yes it is o.k. to feel uncomfortable and at times it will, especially when you are being authentic and shift for what you want. You will be creating new habits and that can feel uncomfortable at first too, just keep going! YOU ARE WORTH IT! People will see YOU and they will love YOU because you are true to yourself and loving YOU :)  ….always practice, it will happen.

one last quote:

Circumstances does not make a man, it reveals him to himself. The more you take responsibility for your life, the more you are able to change it. Responsibility is freedom and empowerment. Become conscious of the thoughts, feelings, beliefs and attitudes that are creating your world. Take responsibility for them and choose those that serve you and your world.

James Allen “As a Man Thinketh” ( a great beginning read)

Love you, your beautiful

Michelle :)

Until next time…..

Here we are week 7!

Take time to reflect week 6 :)

How are you? Are you happy? Are you creating the lifestyle you desire? Are you taking responsibility? Are you having FUN?! Are you letting go?

1) Keep practicing

2) Keep shifting your thoughts :)

3) “BE” authentic

4) Stretch and move that beautiful body :)

5) BE clean in your eating

6) Get fibre!

What do you say or affirm to yourself on a daily basis to keep focused?

I was having a conversation with my 15 yr old son about cause and effect (visualization the Law of attraction) which ever you call it. I asked him “Dustin what do you do when a negative thought comes up in your day”, (remember we are human they will always be there). He replied ” Well, when I ride my bike (o.k. picture this first, Dustin enjoys the thrill of downhill extreme mountain biking!) I always get a fear and that fear is; what if I fall, he pauses and keeps sharing with much deliberation as I was sitting there with this sense of “wow”, he is 15 and I believe he really gets this!. “I will then visualize the end of my run with success and a woohoo, I did it (yes the family uses this exclamation besides me) and that feeling, nervous butterflies turns into a feeling of excitement”.

I shared “To me these two feelings are so closely related”. He nodded with a smile :)

He proceeds again, as I keep asking the questions to get to know his story and belief; what a conversation I’m having with my Son, again I’m elated :) ” Mom, if I don’t shift those thoughts, then I will never do the things I really enjoy, I will let the negative thoughts control me”. “Uh ha” I say back, “you are so right Dustin, and this works for you”! “YES it does” he replied with a self assurance that even I, need to practice more of.

Now, this will never say that Dustin will be free of any harm or crash, however he is practicing a way of thinking that will have him living a life fulfilled!

So in my mind I’m thinking, this is what is coming up for me this week; “how do I make visualization work?” WOW this 15 yr old is going to have it all, if he chooses to keep this way of thinking up!

By the way Dustin also practices gratitude :)

Remember, when we listen to others share, we will learn about our selves too :), and this is just what I needed, it is ALL about the feeling when we visualize or use an affirmation, create the end result in your mind and get the feeling of having it, or being there already. (This may take some practice….remember, persevere). When you use an affirmation feel it as it were true to you! Be choosy with your affirmations find ones that resonate with you :)

Again, there are many many books and authors on this subject, read about it until it is a way of life because guess what, you are visualizing everyday and you may as well create what you desire!

 Week 7 to optimum health:

Hold in your mind the thing you most desire

Robert Collier

  • The Optimist’s Creed contains 12 daily affirmations that will get you motivated and give you the inspiration you need to remain focused and live a successful and abundant life. Even if you just concentrate on 1 of these 12 affirmations, new opportunities and ideas will manifest. Read the Creed below. Remember, feel it to be true to you.

The Optimist’s Creed by Christian D. Larson

I promise myself

  1. To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.

  2. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person I meet.

  3. To make all my friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them.

  4. To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.

  5. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.

  6. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.

  7. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

  8. To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature I meet.

  9. To give so much time to improving myself that I have no time to criticize others.

  10. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

  11. To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words, but in great deeds.

  12. To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side, so long as I am true to the best that is in me.

  • Look into a balance in your diet this week, look at your diet being more on the alkaline side, as disease thrives in an acidic body. Try adding more leafy greens like organic spinach. upon waking have a nice warm (not hot) cup of half squeezed lemon water and a pinch of cayenne this will not only be alkalizing but also will have a nice effect on your metabolism! I take bee pollen (alkaline) in my whey protein shake (alkaline) and I make sure I eat a green at each meal, organic green tea counts too. You can also supplement with a good greens drink or Spirulina, the ratio is about 75% alkaline to 25% acidic for optimum health. Remember it is all about balance, so you treat yourself once in a while :) but come back to health.

  •  When you are working out, focus on the muscle you are working on, my friend taught me this when I first started with weights, what you want to do is create a connection between your mind and the muscle. See it how you want it to be, the key is to focus as this will also assist with a much more effective weight training session. When you do your cardio, focus on your breathing (in through the nose out through the mouth) this will make you aware of you holding your breath and it can happen during intense workouts!

  • Create a vision board or box (my friend did this with her kids, they enjoyed it!) let’s get the kids practicing too! What is it that you desire? Well, we must hold it in our minds and a great way, is having reminders of it all around us…what we focus on we bring about :) I have one where I work out, my friend and I cut out images of body parts we like. I even have one of an image of an athletic lady doing a handstand on a park bench as that is what I’m working on. When you see it remember to feel it as though it is real for you!

Have a great and powerful visualizing week!

You can do it, you can have it, you can “be” it :)

You are beautiful

Michelle

Nov 4

Here we are week 5! wooohoo

Take some time to reflect week 4 :)

You are now in a momentum of positive changes, whatever that may be for you. Remember this blog is about inspiring and nudging, what you read you may have chosen to go for it! Or by reading you were inspired to take other actions that fit your life and heart :)

Most of all are you having some FUN, are you noticing some health changes? Write it down! This is great for noticing our accomplishments and keeps us focused on what we do want. This will start creating new habits!

1) Keep practicing!

2) Keep a notice of your thoughts (are they negative or positive) SHIFT!

3) make sure you are resting adequately

4) Keep “being” authentic (be true to your heart)

5) keep moving! (Whatever that looks like for you) Your body will be grateful :)

6) Always speak of health, happiness and prosperity to all you meet.

7) Leave the past “in the past”.

FUN FUN FUN!! Are you having FUN in your life? Are you creating FUN? What is Fun for you?

Fun and enthusiasm attracts success! Fun can be an antidote to stress, struggle and seriousness. Of course there is a time and place for all emotions, however let’s look at how much FUN are you having :). When you are in the moment of having FUN (by the way this is one of my favourite words) you are being authentic and open to who you truly are. You are sharing this part of yourself and what a gift! As we “be” we allow others to “be” we attract more of that in our lives :). If others choose not to have FUN with you, let it go and keep having FUN, be you, you will be pleasantly surprised as this is a part of loving yourself. So listen to your inner FUN :) and hey have FUN! WOOOOOOHOOOO

Week 5 to optimum health:

“Believe that your life is worth living and your belief will create the fact”

~William James~

  • Put FUN into your marriage or partnership :) This week write down activities you both enjoy (have your partner do this too) and you do one item from each list this week. You can even do this with your kids too. Remember make it FUN! This will also increase excitement and anticipation in your relationships thus creating a healthy, happy outlook on life.

  • Stress, poor nutrition, lack of sleep, lack of exercise, lack of sunlight can deplete serotonin (feel good brain chemical).Boost your Serotonin in your brain with whole foods this week; add Brown rice, Turkey, yogurt, cashews (remember keep nuts to about 1-2oz per day, they add up in calories). These Clean foods have Tryptophan . Other foods to add; bananas, pumpkin seeds, almonds, avocados these have Tyrosine .

  • Enjoy some music this week. What kinds of music do you like, choose music that puts you in a good to great mood. Listening to uplifting music is also great for your immune system :). OR have some fun with music and get up and DANCE! What’s on your ipod?

  •  Continue with your news fast; perhaps increase it, what positive things can you replace it with. Will you read more, listen to your children’s stories, create a gourmet clean meal, you decide, do what you love. :)

  • This week try adding interval training with your walks OR your workouts. Interval training is a great way to boost metabolism (burn more calories) and get in shape faster.                            Try: Warm-up -2min of walking or running (easy enough that you can sing). Next, 16min of; High intensity (brisk enough that you can talk but would rather not) for 8 secs.               Low intensity (comfortable enough that you can talk freely) for 12sec. then 2 min of cool down and stretch.   Total routine 20min. Bring your ipod!

  • Have some Fun with a couple of friends! Try a Spa party in the comforts of your own home! What a great way to spend an evening with friends, getting pampered.

  • Practice: To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own :)

Have a great FUN week!

You are beautiful,

Michelle

Oct 28

Here we are half way! Excellent :) Take some time to reflect week 3.

By doing so, you will get to know what “you” want and what is working for “you”.  Take out your journal and write about week 3, what you enjoyed, what you didn’t enjoy and why, what you did not do and why.

Are you making powerful choices or are you resisting?

1) keep journaling

2) keep moving forward no matter what!

3) keep “being authentic”

4) keep the practice of foregiveness :) (health for the soul a mind-body-soul detox) “Be forgivable”

5) keep “loving” yourself and others it is the highest part of self

The intention this week is to share with you the power of the mind :)

Last week I shared that we think automatically, especially when something “happens” , that thinking is coming from a place from our past and we relate to what happens now, from there. If we can stop for a moment and practice observing the “what happened” from the now, then we can teach our brain to move in a creating, solving, loving position.

When you practiced forgiveness you needed to stop and think in the moment and let the past go. This is where miracles can happen :). What happened in the past is NOT real, it is done and gone. The “Now” is where you can create anything you want, by not relating from your past. What “happened”, is what happened or as I like to say “it is what it is” I now move on. Guess what, life does happen to all of us! I prefer to train my brain to be in a healthier position to manage what comes up. What I’m also saying is, you will never feel like a “victim” when you practice letting what happens go and to move forward! YES we are human and we have emotions, let them be, they are a signal to your “self”, that is authentic. Teach yourself to read the emotion and move in a way that inspires you.

Again many many great books on this subject!

Go to your library or book store and find a book that resonates with you :). If you do you will be putting something wonderful into practice for your life, NEVER BE A VICTIM AGAIN!

Week 4 to optimum health:

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes”.

Marcel Proust

  • Guess what! Keep de cluttering :) But this week we are going to practice de cluttering negative or self defeating thought. (my hubby calls it the “weeds” of the mind) Be aware of your thoughts throughout you day, when you “feel” an emotion that does not vibe with your authentic self, Stop and reflect on how you are thinking. Write it down, (this may feel uncomfortable) however we need to see what is happening in order to shift to where we want to go.(reframing) Then write down a positive affirmation to counter that thought, repeat the affirmation until you”feel” it to be true to you :). Example: I’m feeling down, depressed, I stop (observe my thoughts) I write it down, it could be a thought like: “I hate what is happenng in my life right now”. My new thought could be: “I have so much to be grateful for today, life always works with me”(reframing). This will start to shift your mind, to find a solution to what is happening. Remember we will never get rid of the happenings of life ONLY how we see them :) Happy gardening!!

  • This week take all sugar and artificial sweeteners out of your diet, except organic local honey or organic pure maple syrup for flavour, OR try a natural sweetener like agave nectar. Read labels this week! You will be surprised what items have sugar and artificial sweeteners! Especially take out items that have high fructose corn syrup. Don’t get me wrong here; I’m not saying that sugar is “poison or bad” what I’m saying is to be more “aware” of the bombarding amounts of sugars that are put into our foods today, especially the ones that are geared to our kids! Keep our intake of sugar to fruits and veggies for the most part. Remember; I enjoy my cheat day and I enjoy something sweet too, however I’m much more aware on how I enjoy that treat. I also have trained myself to keep my diet 90% clean. Look for this topic in up and coming blogs :)

  •  How is your rest? This week check yourself to make sure you are getting at least 7 hours of sleep, if not what can you do about it? Do you need to consider changes to your comfort of sleep a) your mattress, b) your pillow c) is your room to hot. Would you benefit from an air filter in your bedroom? Keep electrical items away from your bed this includes electric blankets and alarm clocks. Keep bedrooms to a minimum with clutter, keep your bedroom for sleep and love making only.

  • Keep moving! increase your walk to 25min 5 days a week. (For those starting out) for those that are active keep going and start learning to listen to your body, is it time for a change, a rest (I only recommend a couple of days rest if you are just starting out) if you have been working out for more than a year, take a week off! Your body will be thankful and more powerful in the long run :)

  • This week take one day to do a news (media) fast! YES; NO news, if you like it try 2 days and so on, do something for you in that hour (like read a great book on the mind)! OR try some stretching exercises, there are many nice DVD’s out there that you can do in the comforts of your home.

  •  Research this week the supplement Vit D3 ( the sunshine vitamin) especially during the winter and flu season, go to your local health food store that you find knowledgeable on the topic. You can even ask your Dr. for a test to see if you are deficient. This vitamin is getting a lot of press and the findings of it’s preventions is extraordinary.

  • This week buy yourself some more flowers :)

  • Remember: the happier you are the more brighter and successful your life will be!

Have a great week, I know YOU can do it! Just keep moving :) with no expectations ( I call it playing the game) and have FUN!

Looking forward to hearing more about your journey,

Your Beautiful,

Michelle

Oct 21

Week 3 Wow! As you enter week 3 and reflect week 2 what came up for you ?

1) keep journaling gratitude

2) keep moving forward!

3) keep following your heart

4) keep loving yourself :)

The intention of this 8 week blog is to move and inspire, as you read the suggestions (that I have implemented in my life) you may take on the whole week, or you may get a thought while reading the post that inspires you to move or change in your direction. It could be that you chose to change something in your diet like ” orange cheese and switch to eating more broccoli”. Or did you change something else that resonates with you?

These are guidlines that worked or are working for me, always do what works for you! It is all about you :) Remember it’s all about that little nudge :)

Continue with the new positive changes you made!

Week 3 to optimum health:

“To get something you never had you must do something you’ve never done”

  • Keep decluttering :)

  • Research more on the topic of purchasing your fruit, vegetables and lean meats organically. More and more local grocers are stocking organics in their stores, also there are specialty stores just for organic foods. Organic is now reaching a popularity that it is becoming much more affordable!

  • You are now moving more! How can you increase your workouts this week. Did you find a workout that fits you and your lifestyle? Did you start a sport that you have always wanted to?

  • This week practice: the art of forgiveness, You do no one, but yourself a favor. Not being able to digest the wrong that a person has done to you, is your problem(problem/ownership),not his/hers. It is hurting you, not him/her. I used to have a hard time with that statement! We are human and humans think automatically (from our past), we relate to others in a subconscious manner. This also means forgiving ourselves! We make mistakes, “that is human”, clean them up and move forward. When I say clean them up, I mean; say sorry, take ownership and create a wonderful relationship that you both deserve :) . This week, take a look when you are judging a situation with someone if you feel wronged, step back and take a closer look, remember they too are communicating from what they only know. “Forgive them for they do not know”. If you allow it to fester, we become resentful and your relationship has now shifted. We will also dwell in the past when we don’t forgive and when we are there we will not move forward. Treasure and focus on what you love about each person you have in your life and focus on what type of person you desire in your life, chances are the people that don’t fit will naturally fade out and you will have an abundance of people you do want! It is all about choice.

  • An affirmation could be: I set my past free and forgive myself for my participation.

I easily forgive others and I AM easily forgiven.

  • Forgivenesss is very freeing to the Soul :) and it does take practice.

  • I recommend reading much more on this topic, go to your library and pick a book that resonates with you, if you seek it you will find it! This topic is vast.

  • On that note; keep good healthy company this week! Love knows no limits and true friendships last a lifetime. Get back in touch OR get in touch with someone who means so much to you :) This week buy them flowers :) Show your gratitude! You will be pleasantly surprised when you truly come from your heart with no expectations as it is all about giving. Keep your intentions inspiring.

Have a great week!

You are beautiful,

Michelle

Oct 14

Congratulations you completed week 1! The key now is to keep your new habits going, this takes time and perseverance.

The more you practice and focus on the new habit, the more it becomes second nature in your life.

As you enter week 2 reflect week 1 for a moment :) take your journal and write these down and answer them, celebrate your accomplishments, as one step is always the beginning of the journey. Reflect on these accomplishments anytime when you think you may not be making any headway.

Remember; as long as you are moving in a direction that moves with your heart you are on the right path, always celebrate and focus on what you HAVE done NOT what you have not done :). You will be pleasantly surprised with this way of thinking.

  1. What did you accomplish?
  2. What did you change?
  3. What did you learn about yourself?
  4. What is important to you?

Continue with your new positive changes you made

Week 2 to optimum health:

                               ”Think health to “BE” healthy”

  • Stop drinking chlorinated water. Look into purifying your water or look into a spring water or ozonated water.

  • Keep de cluttering! Notice how this really feels when you accomplish one thing at a time :)

  • Add Green tea to your diet, I recommend a loose leaf Japanese Organic tea,try to substitute it for your morning coffee. You may add a tsp of unpasteurized local honey. Follow the brewing instructions carefully with Green tea to get the full healthy benefits.

  • Add cold water fish to your diet once this week. I recommend studying  “Clean eating” way of eating, there are many great books and magazines in your local grocery store on the topic. You will find recipes that will most pleasantly surprise you! You will also get a break down of the Nutrition in the recipe. What worked for me (remember find something that will work for you) is eating 5 - 6 x per day keeping my portions under control and most of all eating CLEAN whole organic foods. For me this was really fun to learn easy to incorporate in my life and now it is a lifestyle! wooohooo. P.S. I did give myself a treat day too! and still let go of 75lbs!

  • Increase your walking to 30 min. per day, now look into adding a form of resistance training 3x week. Start light (if you are new) again there are many sites and personal trainers out there that can assist you in creating a plan to fit your lifestyle and fitness goals, however I highly recommend weights to be added to your fitness no matter what age or fitness level you are at. There are fitness competitors that are in their 70’s!! Find a routine that inspires you and keeps you motivated, this is important to keep you coming back for more. Remember; there is a start in this process again keep a fitness journal and record your progress, you will be amazed if you stay motivated at how fast your beautiful body will transform :) Remember it’s all about Perseverance.

  • This week you will practice the art of self Love. Everyday you will stand in front of a mirror after your shower, in your bedroom, where ever you can see and look at most of your body and into your own eyes. This is the practice; Stand in front of the mirror and look yourself in the eyes (you have beautiful eyes by the way) and repeat ” I love you (say your name)exactly the way you are, you are beautiful” and then smile. Repeat this until you BELIEVE it to be true :) you will be pleasantly surprised. Hey it is easy to say to ALL the ones we truly love, why not you too, you so deserve your love just as much as the ones around you. Sure it may feel uncomfortable at first, but so did all your other firsts in life :). Record in your journal what comes up for you, the more you love and nurture yourself the MORE you have to give ;). Affirm this daily.

  • Keep writing in your gratitude journal and hey anything else you may wish to journal.

Looking forward to hearing from you! You may wish to post a comment. If you enjoy the posts please subscribe to our rss feed.

Until next week, keep going!

You are beautiful!

Michelle

Oct 7

As I continue my journey to optimum health and fitness I thought of a neat way I can share this with you here on my blog.

My personal training and nutrition program has opened a way of “being” for me that with much practice and will, I’m a whole new person inside and out!

I’m putting together an 8 week program here for you, follow it or not, I have always felt that a nudge in some direction made me either choose or start moving. So here is your nudge to be in action of your health and wellness.

Week1 to optimal Health:

  • De clutter; keep this simple or go all out! Areas that may be cluttered are: your desk, closet, bedroom, kitchen cabinets, your car, your entry way. What is on your mind to fix or clean start writing these down and do it one by one. I mean one by one, start one project and move to the next freely. De cluttering opens the doors to new :). If you haven’t used it in say 6months, really do you need it? Give stuff away, this can also feel good too.

  • Change one thing in your diet this week, try something new and healthy like adding organic broccoli, also eliminate a food that is toxic to your diet, like orange cheese. Go through your diet, you will know which foods are healthy and which are toxic.

  • Start a supplement, I highly recommend a good quality fish oil ( I use Nutrasea) or if you are a vegetarian flax oil, read the label on the product you purchase on how to use. Fish oil will give your body Omega 3, a supplement your body does not produce which supports the Brain, Eyes, Nerves and Heart health. A great source of Omega 3 fat.

  • Start moving; if you are sedentary then start walking at least 20 - 30min everyday. If you are active start or dare something new! (I’m 43 and I tried the workouts from Crossfit! Tough but what a great workout) Keep moving this week and journal it, a month from now you can go back and see your progress! This is fun and rewarding. :)

  • Practice deep breathing or meditation, there are many incites to these, find one that will work for you, however throughout your day come back and focus on your breathing this will assist with stressful thinking.

  • Buy some fresh flowers this week, put them where you can enjoy them. :) It is fall there are still many colors and flowers to choose from!

Next; please keep a journal (you can purchase a small book from your local Dollar store), you will practice journaling your gratitude everyday, YES everyday.

Choose a time in your day for this and set that time aside, start with 5 things that you are grateful for (remember keep it simple) when you are writing get the “feeling” of what you are grateful for and resonate with that! You may be surprised at what happens. :)

Remember the time to start something is “NOW”!

I would love to hear from you on how you are doing and your stories towards your successful steps towards a healthy life.

Have FUN!

You are beautiful!

Mar 26

We have the power to persevere. Its just a matter of making up our minds to do so. It may be helpful to remember that people don’t succeed because they are destined to; they succeed because they are determined to. When you come to bumps in the road and feel doubtful, say to yourself, Cowards despair, but I persevere!

I write about this because I have many questions asked upon me in regards to my 70lb weight loss :)

However; this post may be related to any area in your life.

So they ask; Michelle how did you do it? What is your magic formula? How long did it take? You are so lucky (luck NEVER has anything to do with success!).

Allow me to share:

  1.  To have; we must first BE. When I chose my healthy lifestyle journey I really put myself there as if I am already a healthy fit person and lived my life everyday with that mind   set.   You could write it in your journal about how grateful you are to have the body you have now, and how healthy you are. Live as though you have it NOW!
  2.  Find a Buddy a mentor a trainer; someone that has the same goals as you. I did! As a matter of fact I surrounded myself with like minded people on the subject of health and fitness! My conversations were about the subject thus keeping my goals in my conscious mind and as a result my subconscious mind is now on autopilot (a way of life, a new habit).  Remeber, what we think about all day long we become :)
  3.  Create a plan that works for you; what types of workouts do you like, do you want to follow a diet plan or create your own? On my journey I learned it is about our metabolism and this worked wonders for me. I believe in the method of clean eating 5x a day, keeping my diet as alkaline as I can and workouts that will engage my metabolic rate. Also I gave myself permission to have a cheat day or meal during the week (I LOVE chocolate !)
  4. Create a reason to change your lifestyle; I will share with my clients to write down the reason as to why they wish the change, as it won’t be about weight loss. For me it is about playing on the farm we will have, with the horses, organic chickens, organic plants and for sure playing with my grandchildren with ease and grace :) (no rush kids LOL). I will be travelling the world and I choose to be healthy and fit to do so, as I will also be taking on new adventures. This keeps the passion alive!
  5.  Celebrate!; at every turn in your new lifestyle change, inch loss, weight loss, running that extra lap without stopping, increasing your weights, whatever that looks like for you, just celebrate. I would celebrate with my good friend and workout partner with a good high five and a wooohoo!!! She would celebrate along with me and that feels great in itself :)
  6. Last but not least Perseverance! Yup a word that will make you or break you (if you choose) :).  When I started 18months ago I just started and created a new lifestyle with no fret on when I will lose weight, I just played the game of a healthy lifestyle and the weight came off nice and healthy approx. 1lb per week. (This style is healthy for your metabolism). So my goal was a lifestyle change NOT a weight loss, again what is your focus? If you focus on “I have to lose weight” “I’m fat” or I’m unhealthy” THESE statements can bring you down! Use statements that will bring you into a positive mind set on your journey. The time will just be and there will be no rush, no high expectations, just a healthy body being born again. YES I did have my moments, let’s be honest, but I persevered and recommitted to my journey WITHOUT GUILT! Remember I do love chocolate haha.
  7. I’m now training to be a personal trainer :) I see this as a way to share with others that it is a journey into their health and life. My training will also ensue me to take a holistic nutrition course for athletes and a Transformational life coach course.

So that is the formula from Me to you! May you find your formula for your journey no matter what that is, JUST persevere :)

If you need some mentoring just post and I will be sure to get back to you, I will always believe in you!

Love you, your Beautiful,

Michelle
